High-Explosive Incendiary round. Is designed for firing from 2A42, 2A38 and 2A72 guns. It is used for defeating ground and air targets by incendiary effect induced by the shell splinters after a target has been engaged and its explosive charge activated.
The impact fuzehas also a self-destruction function, which is activated in case of missing the target.
