Biathlon is the most successful Olympic winter sport in the world and Slovakia is also successfully represented in it. Both the current and the new generation of talents in the 2024/25 season will be supported by a new strong partner – MSM GROUP.
Vision 2030
The new generation of biathlon talents started this season with an ambitious vision, the so-called Vision 2030. Its goal is to support and work with the youth so that Slovakia is represented at the 2030 Olympic Games by full-fledged relays among both men and women, with one of them finishing in the top 10. “This is not an attempt to restart Slovak biathlon. It is a vision for achieving the 2030 goals. We are not denying the generational change we currently have. The incoming generation cannot attack the highest ranks this season. But we are doing our best so that in the next seasons they will achieve results maybe at the level of the Fialka sisters,” explained the President of the Slovak Biathlon Association Peter Vozár.
Personnel and financial security
In order to fulfill the vision, Slovak biathlon needs good coaches, which they see in former national team members and strong partners. “I am very happy that we have managed to gain the trust of a strong partner who will be a great asset for Slovak biathlon. MSM GROUP’s support will be directed to the youth and national team with the aim of fulfilling our Vision 2030,” said Peter Vozár after the conclusion of the cooperation. Michal Fúrik, Director of Marketing and Communications of MSM GROUP, also confirmed the cooperation. “We are proud to be part of a brave vision that supports a talented new generation of biathletes. At the same time, we are aware that in order to achieve the ambitious goals of Slovak biathlon, we need the help of the private sector in addition to public resources.”
The official partnership of Slovak Biathlon with MSM GROUP was announced at the press conference on 25 April 2024. There was another good news that Paulina Fialkova is coming back and will strengthen our national team. She is a role model and motivation for the new generation.
Competition for the best MSM shooter of the national team
To make the motivation even higher, the main partner of MSM GROUP decided to reward the best shooters. “We want the sportsmen and sportswomen to perceive that we are behind them and care about their success. We are preparing motivational competitions for the best shooters, who will be evaluated already when entering the new season, for their results in the previous season. In March 2025 we will evaluate and reward the best shooter of the whole 2024/2025 season.”
