Our 2025 exhibition tour doesn’t take a break, not even during the summer. We will showcase our portfolio at one of the world’s largest defense fairs – IDEF in Istanbul, which attracts over 1,200 exhibitors from dozens of countries every two years.
Large-caliber ammunition is becoming a decisive element of European defence, and with escalating conflicts, 155 mm artillery ammunition is proving to be the most strategic commodity of today. At our ZVS holding plant in Slovakia, we have been producing it for decades, and we’re bringing the full portfolio to the exhibition in Türkiye. In addition to artillery ammunition, our production plants also focus on tank, mortar, and training ammunition used for exercises by defence forces across the globe.
A solution to the commodity shortage
Alongside specific products, we will also present our solution to the ongoing shortage of raw materials for ammunition production, which mainly affects Europe. How can manufacturers become more flexible and less dependent? The answer lies in a vertically integrated production model, which we began implementing in 2020. As a result, within MSM GROUP, we operate a propellant production facility in our Spanish plant FMG, with plans to expand this capability to Slovakia. Plants in Germany and Greece, which are becoming part of the group, have the capacity to produce nitrocellulose and TNT. We are also able to produce strategic components like fuzes and grenade bodies in-house.
Our ambition to become a fully self-sufficient artillery ammunition manufacturer is expected to be realized by 2027. See you at IDEF in Türkiye, hall 5 – C09, where we’ll be happy to talk more about this topic with you.
