LAUGARICIO TANK DAYS is the largest event of its kind in Slovakia and it is getting a great credit in the Central European region as well. We have been attracted to it several times and did not hesitate to support this unique event.
Where else can you see more than 250 pieces of contemporary and, above all, historic military machinery in one place? There are also static and dynamic military demonstrations, an air show and a concert of military music. The programme is suitable for all ages and, despite the presence of soldiers and armies from many different countries, the atmosphere is friendly. The ninth edition was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the 1st Czechoslovak Army. It was commemorated in the main demonstration of the afternoon – the Carpatho-Dukla operation.
The ninth edition of the Laugaricio Tank Days took place, as always, on the last Saturday in June near the village of Trenčianske Stankovce. It is organised by the Association of Historians and Collectors of Military Equipment. It brings history from the time of the Roman Empire to the present day to the general public with historical camps, equipment and combat demonstrations, as well as practical demonstrations in the field and in overcoming difficult obstacles. These demonstrations are always very popular with the public and have a unique atmosphere.
